Wanaka Water Taxi services give you the opportunity to access many great locations around the lake, to get away from the crowds, and create your own adventure. Biking/ hiking options such as the West Wanaka Track and the Millennium track make great day outings.
Glendhu Bay – Millennium Track
A well formed walking & biking track which follows the shoreline of Lake Wanaka offering spectacular views of the Lake and mountains. The track also has some nice little beaches, great for a break and a dip in the lake!
Distance: 18km
Bike time: 1.5 – 2 hours
Grade: Moderate – Some steep pitches & exposed bluffs.
Price: $40 pp. Family* $100 one way.

The Outlet Camp
A nice and easy track along the lake with beautiful views of the lake and the mountains. A great ride for families!
Distance: 9 km.
Bike Time: 45 minutes
Grade: Easy
Price: $25 pp. Family* $60 one way.

Minaret Burn – West Wanaka Track
Enjoy a nice boat ride on the lake, past Mou Waho Island, all the way up to Minaret Burn. Or if you prefer to skip the big hill, to Rumbling Burn to bike the West Wanaka Track. This is a great track away from the crowds, with great views, nice beaches, and river crossings. Distances are from Minaret Burn to Homestead Bay Carpark. But if you want a bit of a challenge, and a day out, follow the road to the Glendhu Bay Campground from where you can bike the Millennium Track all the way back to Wanaka.

Bike time: 2 hours
Grade: Average to Hard depending if you want to include the big hill.
